Why this exists

The Global Relocation System was built to fill a gap. When a family decides to move abroad, what they find is scattered blog posts, outdated books, and forums full of conflicting advice from people in entirely different situations. What does not exist is a structured, reliable system made for the specific complexity of relocating with children. So we built one.

Built from experience, not research

Most relocation advice is assembled by people who have never made the move themselves. This is the opposite. Everything here is built on direct, repeated experience of international relocation across Europe, North America, the Caribbean, the Indian Ocean, and Sub-Saharan Africa, by a family that has relocated five times across four continents.

That foundation is what sets the work apart. Lived experience is the only kind of knowledge that tells you what daily life in a place actually feels like, which step quietly derails families, and what no brochure, ranking, or search result will surface. It is the difference between information that looks right on paper and guidance you can genuinely act on.

What it is

A structured, end-to-end planning framework built specifically for internationally mobile families. Not for corporate assignees. Not for solo travellers. For families, with children, with everything that entails.

It covers every stage of the journey, from the first decision through research and planning, the move itself, arrival, and settling into a new country. Templates, checklists, decision tools, and destination guides, all in one place and in the right order. The sequence matters as much as the content. That is what makes it a system rather than a collection of articles.

The standard we hold

Every tool is built to be genuinely useful and genuinely honest. We write about the challenges as plainly as the opportunities, because families making a decision this large deserve both. And where the facts change, visa rules, tax regimes, school and healthcare access, we say so and tell you to verify them, rather than pretending a number is permanent. The standard throughout is simple: the resource we wish had existed when we needed it.
